headspace centre to officially open in Batemans Bay

headspace Batemans Bay celebrated its official opening on Thursday 22 April. Since mid-January, headspace Batemans Bay has been providing young people aged 12 to 25 access to youth friendly, free and confidential mental health and wellbeing services in their local area.

Reviewing and updating the suite of pathways for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health has been a major focus for the ACT and SNSW HealthPathways team. All of the updated pathways are now available on the HealthPathways website, including a live Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Services Directory.

New Access is a structured, six-session program designed by Beyond Blue to help people manage stress and cope with emerging mental health issues. Service staff are specially trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, guiding people through a proven, evidence-based program.
