Chronic Pain Workshop for GPs, Nurses, Practice Managers, Health Administrators and Allied Health professionals presented by St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Pain Clinic

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Identify the socio-psycho-biomedical contributors to pain
  • Learn how to avoid physician burnout and pitfalls in the management of chronic pain using a multidisciplinary approach
  • Identify risk factors for opioid dependence and provide a framework for safe opioid prescribing and weaning
  • Learn about the regulatory changes to opioid prescribing
  • Identify factors that contribute to movement difficulties in people living with chronic pain
  • Outline techniques and resources clinicians can utilise to support better movement
  • Increase awareness of the referral pathway to SVHS Chronic Pain Clinic and key services we provide
