Chronic Pain Workshop for GPs, Nurses, Practice Managers, Health Administrators and Allied Health professionals presented by St Vincent’s Hospital Sydney Pain Clinic.

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Increase awareness of the referral pathway to SVHS Chronic Pain Clinic and key services we provide
  • Identify factors that contribute to movement difficulties in people living with chronic pain
  • Outline techniques and resources clinicians can utilise to support better movement
  • Identify risk factors for opioid dependence and provide a framework for safe opioid prescribing and weaning
  • Learn about the regulatory changes to opioid prescribing
  • To understand the underlying risk factors predisposing the transition from acute to chronic pain
  • Identify evidence-based multimodal approaches that can aid in the prevention of acute to chronic pain development
