COORDINARE - South Eastern NSW PHN is providing fully-funded scholarships to support Practice Nurses in enhancing their knowledge of diabetes care.
This opportunity is designed to build confidence, strengthen clinical knowledge, and support nurses in delivering high-quality diabetes care in primary care settings.
Successful applicants will be granted access to the Diabetes in Practice for Nurses program from February 2026 and are expected to complete the course within six months of commencement.
Each scholarship is valued at $430 which covers full course access for six months from the enrolment date as well as access to all course content and webinars.
About the Diabetes in Practices for Nurses program
Developed by Diabetes Qualified, the training arm of Diabetes Australia, this program is:

Endorsed by the Australian Primary Health Care Nurses Association (APNA) for 12 CPD hours.

Delivered online, flexible and self-paced (approx. 12 hours of eLearning)

Structured into 16 interactive modules, covers a broad range of topics including blood glucose monitoring, medication, technology in diabetes care, the annual cycle of care, and behaviour change strategies.

Designed for nurses working in primary care settings.
At the end of the program Practice Nurses will receive:

a CPD certificate endorsed by APNA

Practical knowledge aligned with national guidelines and case-based learning to enhance patient care.

Best-practice communication strategies to build trust and support people living with or at risk of diabetes.

Tools and insights to implement improved diabetes care practices in your workplace.
