COORDINARE welcomes new Board Member, Nia Briguglio

COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN is pleased to announce the appointment of Nia Briguglio to its Board of Directors, as the IRT Group’s member representative. 

Julie White, COORDINARE’s Independent Board Chair, said Ms Briguglio brings valuable expertise in aged care and community health to the organisation’s governance. 

“Nia is a highly respected leader in the aged care sector, with more than 23 years’ experience across a wide range of roles, from direct care to executive management,” said Ms White. 

“As Executive General Manager, Aged Care Services at IRT, Nia oversees the organisation’s residential aged care, quality compliance, learning & development and catering services team. Her deep understanding of aged care operations and her commitment to quality care will be invaluable as we continue to implement initiatives aimed to strengthen primary health care across our region.” 

Ms Briguglio has been with IRT for 16 years and has held a variety of leadership roles during that time. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Illawarra Program, where she was mentored by senior business leaders and gained strategic insights into regional challenges and opportunities. 

“Nia’s appointment enhances our Board’s expertise in aged care and community health, and supports our vision of one coordinated regional health system that promotes healthy choices and supports resilient communities,” said Ms White. 

“I’m honoured to join the Board of COORDINARE and contribute to its important work in improving health and wellbeing outcomes across South Eastern NSW,” said Ms Briguglio. “I look forward to bringing a strong aged care perspective to the table and supporting initiatives that promote equity, access and quality care for all.” 

Ms Briguglio’s appointment reflects COORDINARE’s commitment to ensuring its governance structures are informed by diverse perspectives and lived experience across the health and care continuum.
