4 April 2024
Do you have the skills and expertise to help improve the health of the communities in South Eastern NSW?
COORDINARE – South Eastern NSW PHN is looking for people interested in providing a community perspective on primary health care in South Eastern NSW. This helps us understand local health needs and ensure strategies for engaging with regional communities.
COORDINARE's Community Advisory Committee contributes specialist knowledge and expertise to provide the COORDINARE Board with a community perspective on:
- how best to improve health and wellness in our region
- insight into identified health issues
- how best to engage health consumers and communities to have a say on projects and commissioning activities.
Membership is by expression of interest and includes health consumers, carers, community members and representatives from local government, education, social and health services. Membership tenure is three years with option to extend.
What is the commitment?
Members attend quarterly meetings either at a COORDINARE office (located in Wollongong, Nowra, Moruya, near Queanbeyan) or via a videoconference link. These meetings are held during the day from 10am to 2pm and are remunerated.
Ongoing engagement occurs between meetings through requests for participation in a range of targeted PHN consultations. Examples include input into service design development or assisting with the review of tender applications from service providers.
