    Currently, patients in Australia can visit multiple GPs or clinics without formally registering with a specific practice. While this flexibility offers choices, it can also result in fragmented care and inefficient resource allocation. By analysing the demographic and health profiles of their registered patients, practices can identify patients who could benefit from voluntary patient registration.

    MCCI is offering a free CALDWays course on culture and dementia. Through videos with practical examples and interactive activities, you will gain skills and knowledge which can help you better understand and care for people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds living with dementia.

    The course is available for free via the MCCI website and can be done in your own time. After completing the course, you receive a certificate which shows your commitment to culturally inclusive care.

    Gwandalan National Palliative Care Project

    Gwandalan National Palliative Care Project is funded by the Australian Government under the Public Health and Chronic Disease Care Grant, National Palliative Care Projects 2020-2023.

    The suite of education and training materials were developed to support relationships between service providers, frontline staff and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Communities through cross- cultural education and the sharing of knowledge.
